A sunny late spring Sunday morning in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. There’s a stretch of river near home with a wide piece of land on one bank which gets used as a bit of a dirt bike track. I headed out there with the Fujifilm X-T1 and 35mm lens. Hoping I might get some bilkers and dust trails.
A lot has been said about the continuous AF and continuous frame capture abilities of the X-T1. These photos were taken with single AF and single frame capture settings and the X-T1 performed brilliantly. It’s just a personal thing, but I prefer to control the timing of a few shots rather than taking a continuous burst. Sure, I will miss a few but the images I do get are intentional and that, to me, is important. I’ll never make a sports photographer!
All images taken with 35mm F1.4 at ISO 200, f5.6 and shutter speeds between 1/1400 and 1/2700. Post processing in Iridient Developer.
